Introducing our new Head of Lending Adam Daniels
Meet Adam Daniels, Resimac’s new Head of Lending. With over 25 years of experience in banking and financial services, both locally and in the UK, Adam has extensive experience in lending within different market segments. He has previously held senior roles at Macquarie Bank, AMP Bank, Westpac and NAB.
As the new Head of Lending, Adam heads up the Prime and Specialist Lending teams within Resimac, with a primary focus on driving further efficiencies and initiatives in the credit assessment process.
One of the important aspects of Adam’s career experience is that he has a background in credit as well as servicing customers and introducers on the front line. With one of the common complaints from brokers being that underwriters don’t understand the pressures of writing business and managing expectations, this makes Adam acutely attuned to the needs and commercial realities of brokers when applying credit policy.
“I’m a firm believer in the importance of brokers and how they can assist our end customers to achieve their goals. One of the things that drew me to Resimac was the opportunity to support brokers and the great work they do, utilising my unique customer and broker focus when making credit decisions,” Adam said.
Additionally, Adam was keen to work for an organisation that was driving competition within the banking industry.
“Having viable alternatives outside of the big four banks is something the industry really needs. Non-banks have a vital role to play in creating a really competitive financial services industry, and I’m impressed by the strong offering that Resimac provides brokers across its suite of mortgage lending products. Resimac also has a culture of being able to respond quickly to market or policy changes, and this is a strong advantage against our bigger competitors,” Adam said.
