Better Business wrap: Resimac BDMs triumph and share broker solutions
The Adviser’s Better Business Summit & Awards 2023 has wrapped up, and we’re delighted to reveal that Resimac BDMs Jo Oliver and Craig Nicholas were among the winners.
Jo and Craig were rewarded for their proactive, knowledgeable service to brokers and named Best Lender BDM (Non-Bank) for their respective regions of SA/NT and NSW/ACT.
This follows many of our BDMs being shortlisted for the top gong, namely Janelle Packman (QLD), Bill Amarantos (VIC/TAS), Adam Harling (VIC/TAS), Marcell Midolo (VIC/TAS), Alison Johns (WA).

Our BDMs enjoyed interacting with brokers face to face and learning more about their challenges in a difficult market. Some of these discussions are summarised below:
- Challenge: Servicing has become a major issue due to higher interest rates. Even some Prime borrowers who want to refinance cannot afford the repayments of a new home loan.

- Challenge: Brokers are trying to retain business with a customer’s current lender because serviceability costs elsewhere can be challenging.
